The beautiful beach of Mac Masters is only 1.5 hours drive north of Sydney. It is the only beach on the Central Coast completely free of any commercial development and is also surrounded by 3000 acres of Bouddi National Park. This secluded environment offers an ideal place to escape, relax and to learn to surf. Mac Masters Beach is protected from the southerly swells and offers an abundance of un-crowded peaks to choose from, it is ideal for all levels.
The beach is learner friendly due to both the lack of crowds and the small waves summer brings. During winter or large south swells the bay is protected and offers great high performance waves. It is patrolled in the summer months and offers a great cafe to watch the waves roll by.
Copacabana Beach is protected from the northeasterly winds and offers a world-class point break for the advanced surfers, with its best season usually being around May – September. The beach and waves are perfect for all levels, especially during summer when the winter swells drop off. Summer offers a wind-protected bay with small running waves perfect for learning to surf. There is also an array of shops and cafes to sit back and enjoy the view.
Umina Beach is an idyllic location for anyone who is keen to learn to surf. The beach is protected from large swells all year round and provides perfect sand banks with long rolling waves to be ridden. Wave size is consistently small which provides a non threatening environment Umina beach has the reputation of being one of the best locations on the Central Coast for learning to surf.
